ABOUT ME

I’m Emma…

An Integrative Counsellor and Coach with a background in Occupational Therapy. I am HCPC Registered as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and BACP Registered as a Counsellor and Coach.

I have a MSc. from Cardiff University in Occupational Therapy, and a PG Dip in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from University of East London.

I’ve worked in healthcare for more than 15 years, across mental health, physical health, social care, learning disability and autism services, supporting people through periods of change, difficulty and uncertainty. Alongside my counselling training, this has given me a broad understanding of the many different things that can affect how we feel and how we manage everyday life.

I came to counselling and coaching after becoming increasingly interested in the conversations that sit underneath practical support – how our experiences shape us, why we can find ourselves repeating the same patterns, and what helps people make changes that feel meaningful to them. I value difference and don’t believe there is a single right way to live, work, relate to others or make sense of ourselves. That curiosity about people and the different ways we find our way through life is a large part of what brought me to this work.

I live in East London with my husband, young daughter and our French Bulldog. Outside of work, yoga and meditation are foundational parts of my life and have been for many years. I believe in enjoying the pleasures in life while also appreciating the ordinary, everyday things. Like most people, I’m also navigating the business of balancing work, family, relationships and finding enough time for the things that keep me well.
